Welcome to the Eastern Cape's Open Water Swimming website where we hope to provide you with information on open water swimming races taking place in our region.

Zports play host to Eastern Province Aquatics' 5 part open water swimming series, offering all registered swimmers the opportunity to achieve qualifying SSA times. The Cirrus Bio-ears EPA Swim Challenge Series, which includes the EP 2012 OWS Championships, is held at Marina Martinique - Jeffreys Bay.
This series is complemented by the
Nelson Mandela Bay Ocean Racing Series to help swimmers for provincial selection and enable them to achieve qualification times for national events.
Please note that the wearing of swim caps
is compulsory for all Zports swimming events.
Season 3 (2011/12) will consist of the following events at Marina Martinique (Jeffreys Bay);
- 16th October : 10/5/3km, 1km, 500m & Bank-2-Bank swims
- 13th November : 10/5/3km, 1km, 500m & Bank-2-Bank swims
- 28/29 January : EP CHAMPS 10/5/3km, 1km, 500m & Bank-2-Bank swims
- 3/4th March : 10/5/3km, 1km, 500m & Bank-2-Bank swims
- 31 March / 1st April : 10/5/3km, 1km, 500m & Bank-2-Bank swims
